More than 4,700 people attended the seventh annual Breakbulk Americas Conference in Houston.
The exhibitors and sponsors included stakeholders from freight forwarders, ports and terminals, logistics providers, road, rail, barge and air transportation, specialized ocean carriers, export packers and equipment companies.
Breakbulk Americas is the biggest show for project and breakbulk cargo transportation specialists in the Americas, with special events, workshops and one of the largest trade and maritime exhibition halls of its kind. Conference session topics included the breakbulk outlook, market trends/future opportunities, transportation connectivity and technology innovations.
Lectures at the event included conversations about managing trade compliance in a complex global environment, outlook on market trends and future opportunities, and connectivity in the transportation industry.
Port of Rotterdam came with a delegation that included such companies as Broekman Logistics, Jumbo, LV Shipping & Logistics, and Share Projects. Their exhibition had a prominent location at the center of the showroom, which enabled great networking possibilities.
The NBSO was also glad to secure meetings with industry leaders for the Dutch companies that visited Houston and got the most value out of their trip.
