"Hello everyone,

I’m so excited to join the Netherlands Business Support Office in Texas! Having lived in Houston for 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many people from all over the world as friends and colleagues — including many from the Netherlands.

My background in journalism means I’ve covered almost every aspect of life in Houston and the surrounding areas including lifestyle, business, community and city leadership and our relationship with the rest of the country and the world. Additionally, some time I spent in San Antonio as a business reporter taught me about everything exciting happening there.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Netherlands where I reunited with some friends in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and other small towns in between. I was delighted to discover how much I fell in love with the country, and how many similarities there are between our two cultures, such as an insatiable entrepreneurial spirit, natural curiosity and even knowing what life is like on the coast!

I couldn’t ask for a better job since I’m getting to help two places I love prosper and grow. I think we have a lot to learn from each other, and I’m looking forward to serving you as the new deputy representative.

Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or opportunities for collaboration.
